Jeffrey B. Redick represents a wide variety of insurance companies and self-insured companies in workers’ compensation matters. Mr. Redick also practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense and general liability defense. In addition to litigation, he works with employers to develop practices which minimize workplace exposures and counsels on best practices for investigation and defending claims. Mr. Redick has spoken and presented to business groups, professional organizations and government entities on these practices.
Mr. Redick was born in Columbus, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University in 1991. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1994 from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Redick was admitted to practice by the Illinois State Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1994.
Mr. Redick has been a partner with the firm since 2002. He joined Power & Cronin in 1996 after two years of practice doing real estate tax assessment appeals at the Chicago Law Firm of Doody and Lafakis, Ltd. In addition to his previously described areas of practice, Mr. Redick served as Assistant City Prosecutor to the City of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois from 1999 to 2001.
Mr. Redick has previously served the people of DuPage County as an elected Commissioner of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and two-term representative of District 2 on the DuPage County Board. Additionally, he was appointed by the Governor of Illinois as a Director of the Illinois Highway Authority.
